Project Description
Kusinang Irie is a food truck concept that blends Jamaican and Filipino cuisine to create a unique fusion experience. The concept focuses on celebrating cultural flavours while developing a brand identity that feels vibrant, approachable, and memorable.
The project explores how branding, visual storytelling and marketing ideas can come together to shape the identity of a small food business. From the name and menu to the visual presentation and promotional content, the goal was to create a concept that reflects both cultures while appealing to a modern audience.

Concept
The concept behind Kusinang Irie was inspired by the similarities between Jamaica and the Philippines. Both countries are tropical islands with warm climates, ocean landscapes, and strong food cultures, but they each have their own unique traditions and flavours.
The design reflects this idea by incorporating tropical elements such as sunsets, palm trees and ocean inspired colours. These visuals help communicate the island atmosphere while representing the fusion of Jamaican and Filipino cuisine. The goal was to create a vibrant and inviting brand that celebrates both cultures while highlighting the connection between the two islands.




Menu
The menu for Kusinang Irie was designed to reflect the fusion of Jamaican and Filipino flavours. The idea was to bring together dishes from both cultures while creating a menu that feels approachable and easy to enjoy in a food struck setting.
Many of the menu items combine ingredients and cooking styles from both cuisines, highlighting the similarities and differences between the two cultures. The goal was to create dishes that feel familiar but also introduce people to new flavours.
By blending elements from Jamaican and Filipino cooking, the menu helps reinforce the overall concept of the food truck while celebrating the rich food traditions of both culutures.
The menu includes a mix of fusion bowls, island inspired snacks and refreshing drinks that reflects the tropical flavours associated with both cuisines.


Social Media Promotion
To support the launch of Kusinang Irie, I designed promotional social media posts that introduce the brand and reflect the tropical, island inspired identity of the food truck.
